TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT: TROPICAL DEPRESSION "INDAY"

Tropical Depression "Inday" has slowed down slightly as it continues to move in a North Northwest direction
 

Location of Center:
(as of 10:00 p.m.)
560 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes
Coordinates: 21.8°N, 127.8°E
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center
Movement: Forecast to move North Northwest at 17 kph.

Forecast Positions/Outlook:

Thursday evening:
610 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes
or
outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)
Friday evening:
840 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes.

 
No Public Storm Warning Signal

 

Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate – heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.

 

Tropical Depression "INDAY" will not affect any part of the country. However, it will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring occasional rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Cagayan Vallet and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan.

 

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM tomorrow.
