Tropical Storm "EMONG" has maintained its strength and continues to move in a northward direction.

400 km East of Basco, Batanes
Coordinates: 21.3°N, 126.2°E
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and
gustiness of up 90 kph
Movement: North at 19 kph
Forecast Positions/Outlook: Thursday morning:
660 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes
out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)
No Public Storm Warning Signals Raised

Estimated rainfall within the 600 km diameter of the Tropical Storm is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy).

Tropical Storm "EMONG" is not expected to make landfall to any part of the country. However, it will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas and light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Fishermen specially those using small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Northern and Eastern Seaboards of Luzon and Western Seaboard of Southern Luzon due to big waves generated byTropical Storm "EMONG".

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 p.m. today.
