DOST-PAGASA recognized by DA-PhilRice for its contribution to the rice sector
DOST-PAGASA was recognized by the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rice Research Institute for its significant contribution to advancing national programs during the 37th Ugnay Palay National Rice Research for Development and Extension Conference held at the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija on November 25, 2025.
On behalf of the agency, Dr. Marcelino Q. Villafuerte II, Deputy Administrator for Research and Development, and Mr. Roger Manuel, Chief Meteorological Officer of PAGASA Muñoz station received the recognition. The award was given in deep appreciation of the agency’s unwavering partnership and commitment to the effective implementation of policies and initiatives that strengthen the country’s rice sector and promote the well-being of Filipino farmers.
