SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY 2026

The weather systems expected to affect the country on Independence Day are the Southwest Monsoon and the Easterlies.
The Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula due to Easterlies.
Light to moderate southerly to southwesterly winds will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon, while light to moderate easterly to southeasterly winds will prevail over the rest of the archipelago, with slight to moderate seas.
