SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY 2025

The weather system expected to affect the country on Independence Day is the Southwest Monsoon.
The Southwest Monsoon will bring occasional rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro while mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon and the western section of Visayas. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with the possibility of localized rain showers or thunderstorms,mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly winds will prevail over Luzon and the western section of Visayas, with moderate to rough seas due to the southwest monsoon. Gusty conditions may also be expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Isabela, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, Antique, and Aklan. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds from the southeast will affect the rest of the country, with slight to moderate seas.
The tropical cyclone being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility(PAR) is expected to move north northwestward and will not directly affect any part of the country during the forecast period.
